After years of living vicariously through INDIANA JONES on the big screen, travelers can now experience his adventures first-hand.
In honor of the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Expedia has created 10 Indiana Jones adventure vacations inspired by Indy's past escapades.
Examples of the trips include:
-- Egypt: Quest of the Ancient Kings (10 days) -- Inspired by Raiders of the Lost Ark travelers will ride camels, browse through the Cairo bazaars, spend three nights on a Nile River cruise, and visit archaeological sites such as the Sphinx, the Valley of the Kings and the Pyramids of Giza.
-- India: Palaces, Temples & Wildlife (12 days) -- Themed to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom travelers will take guided walking tours of Old and New Delhi, float down the Ganges River on a Varanasi boat, ride elephants into the palace complex at the Jaigarh Fort and experience the Taj Mahal -- one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
-- Jordan: Bedouins, Ruins & Desert Adventures (10 days) -- Recalling Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, travelers will be able to swim in the Dead Sea, sleep under the stars in a Bedouin desert camp and explore Petra by horseback.
Other itineraries to choose from include China, Mexico, Nepal and the USA. If you're minding your pennies, the cheapest tour to take is the Peru trip ("Raiders of the Lost Ark" journey) to the Amazon jungle for $1,699.

WHAT TO BRING
The simple answer is "as little as possible". Traveling light will prevent more headaches than almost any other advice you can find. If you can carry-on all your baggage then you prevent the possibility of your luggage being lost by the airline and you do not have to bother with collecting your baggage after your flight.
Budget travel means doing a lot of things yourself. The less things you carry the more energy you have for coping with whatever happens, and the more free you are to enjoy the experience.

A primary piece of advice for people seeking good airfares is to find out which flights have empty seats. It's fairly safe to say that the airlines aren't going to share this information with you directly.

In its heyday, flying as a courier saved budget travelers thousands of dollars on overseas fares.
Travelers took flights between North America, Europe or Asia. They spent a small percentage of the prevailing fare on these one-way trips, and frequently received a similar deal on the way home.
The Knights Templar, Genghis Khan, and the last Incan Emporer, Atahualpa all had one thing in common, they accumulated massive amounts of wealth while at the height of their power - their treasuries were legendary, overflowing with gold, silver and precious gems - the spoils of their many conquests...
So, the Billion dollar question is.... Where did it all go?
Unfortunately, I can't give you an exact location, but my list of Top 10 Lost Treasures Waiting to be Found may help point you in the right direction.
